Exchange programs

The Technische Universität Berlin offers its students to spend a semester abroad at one of its 200 exchange partner institutions as part of the degree program.

Participation in such an exchange program is usually connected with a scholarship and the waiver of tuition fees of the university abroad. The length of the student’s stay abroad depends on the program and ranges from three to twelve months.
To finance the stay abroad, there are a few available granting institutions, i.e. the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the EU Commission (Sokrates/Erasmus) and exchange programs of the TU Berlin.

These scholarship programs vary in their philosophies, their scholarship services, selection procedures, application documents and their closing dates for applications. Naturally, students can also plan their stay abroad aside from the mentioned programs. The International Office gives advice in preparation to a stay abroad, informs about systems and types of higher education, conditions of entry and questions of acknowledgement, it also gives contact informations and granting institutions and gives out information material.

ERASMUS/ SOKRATES

Lupe

The ERASMUS and SOKRATES exchange programs enable students of the TU Berlin to study abroad at one of the partner universities. The scholarships for Landscape planning and architecture only apply for particular partner universities, it is not possible to grant stays at other universities in Europe. Under certain circumstances, it is possible for students of Landscape planning and architecture to be granted a stay in one of the other partner universities through the contingent of another study field.
